Before the effects of the deadly earthquake recently experienced by Haiti have had the chance to fade into our memories, Chile is rocked by one estimated to be even more devastatingly powerful coming in at over 8.5 on the Richter scale.  As catastrophic as this current shifting of the earth’s crust is, I wonder out loud just how long it will take the ‘know it alls’ to spout their belief as to the ‘why’?

Consider some of the thinking as to the ‘why’ after Haiti’s earthquake.  First up, Hugo Chavez:

It is interesting that, in all the blame to go around, could it simply be that the earth is to blame?  Or, is it really something ‘supernatural’ flexing it’s ‘end-time’ muscles?  No matter, whatever the cause in my opinion, this life is never a walk in the park guarantee that everything will always be sweetness and lite.

How does that song go: “into everyone’s life a little rain must fall”?  Let us have a moment of silence for the victims and once again roll up our collective sleeves to help in any way we can.  It is in times like this that we humans truly set aside our differences and work together for the common good….and then go back to choosing up sides as to who is right and who is wrong!
