Has Chris Matthews Jumped The Shark?
Incredible as it may seem, with Chris Matthews commenting on the president’s State of the Union speech last night by stating that he “forgot he (Obama) was black for an hour”, he has now officially ‘jumped the shark’. I am also beginning to think anew just what Mr. Matthews meant when he was experiencing Obama’s acceptance speech back in 2008 as a “thrill going up his leg”:
Now, just take a moment to place this “I forgot he was black for an hour” comment into any paragraph involving someone who is black and you can’t come up with any other explanation other than the one that reveals Mr. Matthews as the racist he truly is! To state that it took a speech of such magnitude in order for someone to look past the color of one’s skin is akin to believing that a person of color must first prove themselves with some great oratory skills first in order to then transcend into the content of their character territory!
Again, what is even more shameful is the pass Chris will get from his blatantly racist comment that the media would never give to a Conservative or Republican. We truly live in a day replete with double standards!
