PostHeaderIcon When The Obama Bow Becomes A Curtsy!

The following article link should send a shudder throughout the Internet community!  It appears that, in what can be no less than an international bow to the world, our glorious president Obama is set to hand over control of the Internet to a world governing body.  Read with eyes wide open and a willingness to set any partisanship aside:

If you think this is ‘no big deal’, you may want to rethink that thought.  When giving a telling reason why this is a very bad idea, the following quote from the article should wake us up to what can happen when a giant such as Google can have no impact when another emerging superpower decides to flex their muscle:

Look no further than China’s recent move against Google to censor the Internet, and you can envision what can happen when other nations less free than the United States seek to control the Internet beyond even their own borders.

Do what you can before we find blogs such as this one being subjected to a world governing body’s censorship and we find the battle for free speech a losing one.

PostHeaderIcon Crazy Like A Fox?

One of the main issues making the rounds of late is the Obama administration’ s openly admitted all out war on Fox News in general and Glenn Beck specifically.  This is not entirely surprising but is nonetheless unsettling.  With all that Obama has on his plate to, as he put it “fundamentally transform the United States”, we need open dissent of the grandest kind.  And Fox, along with blogs and the internet, provide this much needed venue.  Well, the following article link does a grand job revealing the dangerous precipice we find ourselves teetering on today: censorship of free speech and the inalienable right of dissent:

This particular quote is very telling as to just how “dangerous” Fox really is:

Fox News is no monopoly. It is a singular minority in a sea of liberal media. ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, NPR, CNN, MSNBC vs. Fox. The lineup is so unbalanced as to be comical — and that doesn’t even include the other commanding heights of the culture that are firmly, flagrantly liberal: Hollywood, the foundations, the universities, the elite newspapers.

Let’s just hope and pray that we don’t find a new twist on the old adage “putting the fox in charge of the hen house” result in government becoming the fox.
