The following link reveals that the president has extended the same Patriot Act that he and his fellow Democrats constantly demonized during the eight years of the Bush administration:

Spoken like a true politician, this is another example of going from ‘do as I say, not as I do’ to ‘do as I do, not as I say’.

Think back to the recent ‘change of heart’ regarding the war in Iraq and Afghanistan from being ‘against the war before being for it’ and it potentially being a success due to the Obama administration being in power.

Just goes to show what a true politician is these days and why the letter behind their name means nothing!

Here is today’s link revealing an unbelievable quote from Joe Biden regarding the war in Iraq:

On February 11, 2010 Joe Biden said in a speech, “Iraq will be one of the great accomplishments of the Obama Administration”.

You have got to be kidding me!  They were both constantly blaming the Bush administration that the war was an abject failure, with Obama repeatedly voting against it.  Check out these quotes:

OBAMA, JAN. 10, 2007: I am going to actively oppose the president’s (Bush’s) proposal. I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq is going to solve the sectarian violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse.

OBAMA, JULY 18, 2007: My assessment is that the surge has not worked and we will not see a different report eight weeks from now.

OBAMA, NOV. 1, 2007: Not only have we not seen improvements, but we’re actually worsening potentially a situation there.

OBAMA, MAY 31, 2008: We don’t need more spin about the surge that was supposed to get the Iraqis to step up. We don’t need more leaders who just see what they want to see in Iraq. It’s time to recognize where we are in Iraq.

I guess it becomes tiring for those two to constantly beat the ‘blame Bush’ drum for everything from this current economic mess to the failure to keep the country safe, et al.  So, here we have them taking credit for something they have been opposed to from the beginning, with Obama even dragging his feet before deciding to up the troop level recently, only with it being a far lower number than his generals were asking for.  Plus, he and his buddy Joe keep trumpeting the song ‘When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again’ that is a clear signal to those opposed to our being there that they have only to keep  ‘biden’ their time before we will leave and they can take over!

I’m thinking that, as far as Obama and Biden are concerned, a quote from the old comic strip Pogo is appropriate:

“That leadership is seeing a parade and running like hell to get ahead of it!”

Here are videos, courtesy of pontevedraman, that indicated what Obama and Biden really believed before they believed they created the success of Iraq!

***UPDATE***

Wow, the press is beginning to wake up!  Here is a link with video where Robert Gibbs (Fibbs?) wiggles profusly when cornered by the question how the president comes off claiming, through ol’ Joe, his administration can claim the victory in Iraq (get ready to hold your nose and, make sure you have swallowed first so you don’t spit all over your computer!):

I have heard the saying “they must be spinning in their grave” but this is spin at its finest…..

So, the news comes out that an American-Iraqi contractor was kidnapped January 23rd and has been video taped reading a list of demands, including the prosecution of Blackwater guards that were found innocent of charges of willfully killing Iraqi citizens in 2007.  Here is the link:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,584993,00.html

Interestingly enough, within the article is this quote from Joe Biden:

Vice President Joe Biden has said the U.S. plans to appeal a court decision dismissing manslaughter charges against the five Blackwater guards involved in the shooting.

Think there just might be a connection with our ilustrious V.P. speaking one of his famous Bidenisms?  You betcha!  The following link reveals that, on the same day the abduction took place was the same day Ol’ Joe made his proclamation:

Once again, the current administration’s thinking that if we just appease our enemies and try to understand them they will learn to love us and not wish us any harm, is as misplaced as it can be!  This type of approach only shows our soft underbelly to the adversary and they have no problem capitalizing on that.
